  Different Types of Motor Homes

  There are many makers of Motor Homes, with ultimately three different models to choose from. Class A Motor Homes are described as a bus-type custom body on a truck chassis. Class B Motor Homes are normally conversion vans. Class C Motor Homes contain a custom body on a van or pickup chassis.

  There are three different types of motor home engines to choose from. These include a front-based gas engine, a rear-based diesel engine (known as a ¡°Diesel Pusher¡±), or a ¡°bus conversion.¡± A bus conversion is a special kind of diesel pusher that comes from a modified greyhound bus. It is quite expensive and is only necessary if you require thousands of miles of weekly travel, month after month. Diesel engines are noisier and more expensive when it comes to maintenance, but they are also more durable and have better fuel economy than a gas engine. Although diesel engines are noticeably slower in terms of passing acceleration when compared to a well-built gas engine, a diesel engine will probably be have extra torque, something that could come in quite handy if you are towing another vehicle.

  Which Motor Home to Choose?

  When purchasing or renting a motor home, it is important to consider the differences between the different class types. Class B conversion vans are nice because they are short and can be parked almost anywhere. On the downside, these conversion vans are usually limited in terms of comfort and space available. The vehicle may contain a miniature style toilet, shower, storage facility, and water container. Because of this, living for long periods of time in a Class B motor home may prove difficult and uncomfortable.

  Class C Motor Homes are quite well designed for families. They are basically two bedroom apartments on wheels with one bedroom in the rear, and the other in the front, over the van cab. Class C models are the safest because of their designers (Ford and GM), and they do offer a very natural, car-like driving position. The biggest complaint about Class C models is that the two front seats are on a different floor level than the rest of the unit and they can¡¯t swivel around. This becomes problematic when the vehicle is parked.

  Class A Motor Homes are like a one bedroom apartment on wheels, with the bedroom in the rear of the vehicle. The biggest advantage # to a Class A model is the feeling of openness that it provides. In contrast to Class C models, the front seats do swivel around. This means that when parked, the drivers can become part of the living room. And, because of the height of the driver¡¯s seats, an excellent view of the road and traffic is available. The biggest complaint that consumers usually have about Class A model motor homes is usually related to safety. Because they are built out of aluminum and fiberglass, the motor home is less durable in the event of an accident. Many Class A motor homes also lack air bags, which increases the chance of injury in an accident.

  If you're going fishing and looking to preserve your catch for later consumption, there are a few handling methods that will aid in maintaining the fresh, delicate flavor of your future meal. Along with preserving flavor, your other concern regarding a gilled creature is ensuring that it remains unspoiled during its trip from water to frying pan.

  If possible, when landing a fish try to avoid bruising the flesh by not allowing it to land on a hard surface. This will prevent bruising and keep the meat tender in all areas. Using a hose or bucket with clean water, wash the fish. Water in the proximity of industrial areas, treatment plants and marinas should not be used due to pollution factors. Washing the fish with water removes surface contaminants such as bacteria that can cause deterioration of freshness and eventually lead to spoilage.

  Place the fish on ice in an insulated container to keep it fresh, using one pound of ice for each pound of fish. If you're on a boat that doesn't have a storage area be sure to bring along a large, insulted ice chest with plenty of ice. Consider that you can always get rid of ice if you have too much but can't make it when you're out on the water hauling in your catch. You'll want about three inches of ice around each layer of fish. Chilling should be done within the first hour of landing the fish, although it's best to get it on ice as soon as possible.

  Before cleaning your catch, wash it again with chlorinated water. Be sure to rinse the skin thoroughly. Fish have a lot of bacteria on their scales and so proper handling is essential to prevent sickness. Your catch should be cleaned as soon as possible with special attention being paid to the flesh. Breaking the clean flesh located directly under the skin can result in the spread of bacteria, which can then take root, grow, and cause illness. Wash the flesh after scaling with clean water and dab dry with a paper towel.

  Prior to scaling, gutting, or handling fillets, be sure to wash your hands. To gut the fish cut through the belly and remove all internal organs and blood, and then wash internally with cool water. Avoid soaking fillets in freshwater; this will compromise the flavor and texture of the meat.

  If you freeze raw fish, it should be cooked frozen. Thawing uncooked fish results in a loss of flavor and can give the flesh a spongy or chewy texture while making it dry inside. Rolled Edge Plastic Food Tray For every inch of thickness, cook the fish for 10 minutes (until the meat is opaque). Add five minutes per inch if enclosed in foil and 10 minutes if frozen. Never overcook fish; it will be dry and tasteless.

  If thawing cooked fish, do so in the refrigerator or under cold running water. Thawing at room temperature can lead to bacterial growth and illness.

  After cleaning, your fresh catch can be kept in the refrigerator for up to five days. Cover your catch to keep it fresh and to contain the odor. Fish that has gone bad will have a "fishy" or ammonia smell to it. Remember to follow safe handling instructions and enjoy and savor the flavor of your fresh catch. Whether grilled, baked or fried, there's nothing like it!

  Betaine is 'lipotropic'. Betaine, along with choline and L-methionine, in the carp's body, prevents deposition of fats (cholesterols) in the liver, and accelerates their removal. This activity helps to release energy to the carp.

  What this means for the carp bait designer, is it allows more energy to be released from bait to the carp, so quickly giving the carp a 'wellness, feel good factor' that it associates with your bait! This in turn allows it to eat more bait, increasing the likelihood of a confident take and a possible preference for your bait over competing anglers' baits!

  Other betaine ingredients with similar attracting and beneficial effects for use in baits are: green and blue lip mussel extract, lobster extract and molasses.

  Bromelain is a similar-acting enzyme found throughout the pineapple fruit that can be used in baits as a general food type enzyme. These are often on offer in crystal form. It is this enzyme that gives the 'tingling sensation' in your mouth when you eat pineapple.

  When these enzymes are incorporated in your bait, they effect ingredients by predigesting them, releasing more nutrients and attraction from the bait. This really boosts catches!

  Bromelain is commonly used to help digestion of high protein body-building formula powders.

  I had many memorable big fish catches, using quick dissolving, high sugar, and whey powders based body building powders. These are really nutritional while being very attractive to carp, being high in quality proteins like casein, sodium and calcium caseinates, which carp just seem to love.

  Just add eggs to these powders, with a small amount of maize meal or semolina as a binder. These powders are very rich in sugars and these will make your bait dissolve in water, very quickly, without extra binding ingredients for making hook baits more resilient.

  I have often used these types of nutritional powders to make very successful pastes for 'free bait' offerings, and as quick and easy to make hook baits too.

  I usually add extra body building liquid protein supplement to these baits to boost the very attractive amino acid content of the bait. These baits are simply 'carp baits in a tin' and work very well; and often tempt the bigger fish that more commonly used boilies cannot!
